Thank you for dropping by and finding out more about the vision and purpose of The Well News.
The Well News is a monthly online and print newspaper (10 issues per year) that is written from a Christian perspective. It serves as a bridge between members of our communities, the church and Christians in the marketplace. It is also a hub for the whole body of Christ to share what God is doing in our midst. The Well News provides a venue to promote upcoming Christian conferences, workshops, seminars, activities, camps, educational opportunities, concerts as well as regularly scheduled services and special events.
The Well News is a way that the church can reach out and share the powerful and living Word of God. Believers are invited to submit Christian faith based testimonies, stories and informational articles that will encourage others.
The Well News Team pray weekday mornings for the body of Christ, Pastors and leaders, Businesses and Ministries and individual prayer requests.
The Well News provides a place for Christians in the marketplace to showcase their products and services.
The Well News printed copies are currently available in the North Okanagan and Shuswap Regions with recent (limited) expansion to the Central Okanagan.
A Dream by Elaine Gallacher
One night I had a dream that the body of Christ in our region was gathered together for an event. There were a number of local churches present from many different denominations and members from each church filled their particular section of the venue.
In the dream I was standing at the front of the venue facing all the people and I could see them settling into their sections and they were engaged and interacting with those around them from their own body.
In the dream I asked one church to sing a ‘C’ note and they sang it and held it. It was a beautiful sound however without any variation it wasn’t a complete melody.
The next church I asked to sing an ‘E’ note and the same thing happened. Then a ‘G’ note with another church.
Although there was a certain amount of beauty and harmony among each individual church singing their particular note, there was nothing that compared to them singing each their own designated note, but together.
Then a few minor notes were added and the beauty in the sound increased each church bringing a quality to the melody that gave it fullness, an edge and extremely unique.
I just felt that it meant that although each church has a specific and divine purpose that it is when we flow together each singing our own note that He truly shines.
To me, this is the vision of The Well News to reveal His beauty through His church
